my approach
Our session begins with me getting to know you and your family. I spend some time learning what you love to do as a family, what's important to you, and really getting down to the kids level and playing with them. AND this is when the magic happens... This is when expressions and actions are most honest and natural.
I only use the natural light, I do not do forced family photos, and rarely ask for you to deliver an involuntary smile. Instead, we will talk, play, and laugh in your chosen environment. You will enjoy each other and live a normal “day in your life”. I am first and foremost a documentary photographer and I aim to capture the human condition in it’s most honest form. It is Life captured through honest images. These images will be the ones that you display proudly in your home as well as share for the world to see.

Three to four hours spent documenting your family as you actually live—at home, on an adventure, or doing something that defines this chapter of your life.
This is a more immersive storytelling experience with very little posing and no rushing. It’s about preserving the relationships, rhythms, personalities, and small in-between moments you never want to forget.

reserving your session : A 50% retainer and signed Photography Agreement are required to reserve your session date.

about your final images: Every photograph in your final gallery receives Xenia’s signature professional edit, including careful attention to color, light, tone, and overall finish. Additional detailed artistic retouching is available upon request for $25 per image.
your digital collection: Final images are delivered in high resolution and include a personal-use print release, allowing you to download, share, and print your photographs for personal use.
prints & artwork: Fine art prints, albums, and custom artwork are available separately for clients who would like to turn their photographs into something tangible. Details and pricing are available after your gallery is delivered.
sales tax & pricing: All sales are subject to applicable Colorado sales tax. Pricing is subject to change without notice.
FAQ
when should I book my session? I recommend reserving your session 1–2 months in advance to ensure the best availability, especially during peak seasons. Sessions can be booked by emailing xenia@xeniaphotography.com or by calling 203.456.5773.
where do portrait sessions take place? Sessions may take place in your home or at a location of your choice. Locations within approximately 20 minutes of 80112 are included; additional travel fees may apply for locations outside that area. If you need help choosing a setting, I’m happy to guide you. Colorado offers incredible options, and I can recommend locations based on the look, feel, and experience you want to create.
what forms of payment do you accept? All major forms of payment are accepted.
when is payment due? A 50% non-refundable retainer and signed Photography Agreement are required to reserve your session date. The remaining balance is due one week before your session. If you need to reschedule, I will do my best to accommodate you based on availability and the terms outlined in your Photography Agreement.
do you offer sneak peeks before the full gallery is available? Yes. With your written permission, a small selection of images may be shared on the Xenia Photography Instagram and/or Facebook pages before your full gallery is delivered. These posts will be available for you to view and share.
how soon after our session will our images be available? Your private, password-protected online gallery will be delivered within approximately two weeks of your session. Your gallery will remain available online for 30 days, giving you plenty of time to view, download, and share your images. After that time, galleries may be archived and a reactivation or storage fee may apply.
how will I receive my digital images? Your complete edited digital collection will be delivered through a secure online gallery. You will receive a private link by email and can download your high-resolution images directly to your computer or device. Physical USB drives and CDs are not provided.
